Kyle Powers, Director of 401(k) Advisory Services at The Fiduciary Group, is a U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer and Navy Reserve Commanding Officer who has traveled the world through military service, conducting search and seizure operations in the Northern Arabian Gulf and participating in counter-narcotics efforts in central America.
A military veteran with 19 years of combined active and reserve duty in the U.S. Navy, Kyle was commissioned in May 2001 and served nine years of active duty before becoming a financial planner and joining the Navy Reserve.
In the Navy, Kyle was stationed in San Diego, California; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Stuttgart, Germany. During that time, he protected Iraqi oil platforms in the Northern Arabian Gulf, conducted anti-piracy operations off the Horn of Africa, and helped operate the Department of Defense’s European communications network.
Currently the rank of Commander, Kyle is the Commanding Officer of the Navy Reserve’s U.S. Africa Command J5 Detachment. He travels to Fort Worth, Texas and Stuttgart, Germany, where his team assists with developing strategic guidance, planning operations, and coordinating security cooperation activities throughout Africa.
