COMPANY RETIREMENT PLANS
We help business owners optimize their own retirement savings and those of their employees in a tax-efficient way through Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit plans. We have assembled a team of experienced and highly qualified plan design experts, record keepers, and administrators. We quarterback the team through the planning process as an advocate for our clients, making sure that the owners' interests as well as those of their employees are protected and advanced. After completing the plan design, we serve as a plan fiduciary and ERISA Section 3(38) advisor to implement the plan and provide ongoing monitoring of investments.
CAPTIVE INSURANCE COMPANIES
High profit businesses may benefit from asset protection and risk management through a tax-advantaged captive insurance company ("Captive"). A Captive's primary objective is to insure or reinsure the risks arising from the operating business of its owners. If planned and managed appropriately, a Captive provides a broad range of risk management capabilities tailored to the company's needs in a tax-efficient manner and at a lower cost than traditional third-party insurance.
We collaborate with an industry-leading full-service captive management company to design the Captive plan, and have developed an investment strategy tailored to the leverage the characteristics of the Captive's assets.
CASH FLOW PLANNING
We project cash inflows and outflows for business owners for both pre- and post retirement scenarios, taking into consideration the economic value of the expenses the company currently absorbs and the benefits the company currently provides. In retirement, those expenses may need to be factored in to the business owner's household budget.
SUCCESSION PLANNING
Succession planning is an important decision for business owners. We assist in evaluating options for bringing in the next generation of leaders and monetizing the owner's equity interests. Because we understand our clients' total house-hold and business financial interests, we are able to model out various scenarios for retirement, sale of the business, and/or continuing equity ownership. We collaborate with our clients' CPAs, investment bankers, and lawyers to ensure that the succession plan fits with our client's personal and family goals and lifestyle.
EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION PLANNING
We evaluate and make recommendations to executives for managing stock options, restricted stock, and deferred compensation arrangements.
